Iron fist or democracy?

Would you prefer to be one above all and have a full grip on power or be a leader which position sways when media takes part.Dictators have absolute power making it easier and a more effective administration.Unlike democracies where the leader just gets to propose. How do you feel when you are trying so hard for the good of your country and then your actions are questioned by those 'young people' in politics.Their say limits your powers, which means your initial purpose of doing good might be bent by others. They might twist your words and you get the blame.

So here who feels the heat. Here, close competitors feel the heat.Like in the US.G W Bush and Kerry are close in polls. This is the flaw in full democracy.Well for countries like Malaysia, partial democracy is practiced, but the Prime Minister need not worry.Elections in Malaysia is so predictable. There is no challenge at all for Malaysian politics are 'stable'.Barisan National dominates Malaysian politics. This make some people think that when a government does not change, there is no democracy.Well in Malaysia, there is not much choice,as the ruling party has more money and have kept their words in previous years. In Malaysia, although democracy is practiced, the authorities have a tight grip on power unlike in the US.

Russia is also going back. They are tightening their grip on power after the siege on the school in Beslan.Using that incident as a excuse. This is not the only sign.See how they are handling the Yukos affair? They are trying to get back those assets which they think have been sold too cheaply to oligarchs.Seems like 'realpolitics' huh.'Politics are dirty'.Although it is not neccasarily this way,the world today is just that.Look at North Korea. So poor, yet they have a strong army and a capable detterent force. The nuclear capability.Look at the missiles aiming at South Korea ready to fly any time. You think democracy is good for the north right now?If it was,the country would be in chaos because most of the people are in poverty and would cause an uprising. This would give America use that to their advantage and later invade N.Korea to dispose of the current regime. If not for the nuclear capability they possess,N.Korea would easily have been the next Iraq. The wonder of holding nuclear is the power to negotiate. No one wants to risk a nuclear war.Having nuclear weapons is like having POWER.
